Are You Making Progress?

"diane cossie"Note from Diane : One of the key elements to make sure you keep your energy levels high in the important areas of your business and make sure you are making progress each and every week is to monitor your performance and your results in key areas of your business.

You will need to be realistic with the amount of time you have available for this but it is especially important that you realise every part of your business that is going well and every part that needs improvement.

A great time to reflect on the week that has just ended in my timetable anyways is a Sunday morning. When every member of my family is picking up a newspaper and reading the Sports pages I am gathering stats like these, crunching data and planning on doing even better next week :-

Feature Article: Key Areas Essential For Updating Your Progress Report

There is nothing worse than feeling like you are putting in extra effort but you do not seem to have anything else around you changing, so it is important to monitor key areas of your business on a weekly or even daily basis to see whether you are making progress or not.

Lowering Your Alexa Score

One of the best online monitors for your business is your Alexa score, widely known as the best indicator online for the popularity of your website.

You can go to alexa.com and download a free tool bar that will show you the Alexa score of your website or blog score by individual country and in the world plus the number of sites linking in to your website amongst other key factors.

Monitor this data on a weekly basis to watch for your score getting lower as an indicator that your site is being recognised on the search engines as having a good reputation with a low bounce rate for visitors. Regular blogging, Social Media connectivity and adding backlinks to your site will all help lower your score further over time.

Lead Generation And Marketing.

Monitor closely your lead generation and marketing strategies. Which marketing strategy is generating you the most leads for your business?

If you do not know then you need to find effective ways of tracking where your leads are coming from, especially if you are using paid advertising. There are variables you can set up at the end of your URL links that offer unique link references that will even track the keyword phrase used to generate the lead.

Or if you are using a marketing system like MLSP you can set up multiple campaigns within the system and the tracking of your results will be easy to see with their superb built in tracking, it is one of the best online marketing systems around.

All too often you might find you are failing to get any traction in your business because you are too fixated on the one lead generation strategy that will work. They usually all work but you need to test and measure which ones work best for you.

Conversions From Leads To Sales

I am not sure about you but one of my favourite areas of my business is creating sales funnels for different products and watching what happens when you change a headline, or change the name of a “submit” button to “Count me in!”

It is FASCINATING! It is even more fascinating to look at some  sales funnels that convert right now and figure out why? What was the headline, which autoresponder was opened the most? Which offer converted to the most sales?

For most new business owners the lead flow is the headache, figuring out which marketing strategies will bring you leads is part one, the essential part to get right is converting a percentage of those leads to sales.

That is when the shift in your business really happens.

It is not always essential to have huge numbers in your business, the percentages of leads to sales in any business is typically 5% or less.

However when you build a great opt in offer combined with a great auto responder series with a highly personalised connection, conversions of 14% and higher are achievable.

Take At Least One Day Every Week To Reflect On The Week That Just Went By And Then Plan To Make Next Week Even Better

Record and monitor your successes and then plan the next week with a whole new energy of being totally in control of your business.

Feel free to share if it helped you!

The Best Online Marketing System I Have Used Is The MLSP Sytem By The Time You Get A Tracking System, A Squeeze Page Generator And Set Up Sub Domains etc You Can Save Yourself A Huge Amount Of Faffing Around By Using MLSP.

P.S. You will never run out of content ideas either! The training is super great :)
