At Last! Those Darn Facebook Wall Photos Make Sense
A note from Diane …
I have a confession to make .. I’m more of a Twitter Fan than I am a Facebook Fan!
I just love what Twitter can do for your content and it’s so easy to just Tweet Everyone and follow up with mentions and RT’s and it is so “in the moment!”
And let’s face it who doesn’t follow a celebrity or two .. it’s truly an amazing part of life today. So one of my wisdom goals in 2011 was to invest in some Social Media training courses to expand our services to our clients and to share some valuable tips like this one!
In today’s featured article I am going to reveal the Low Down on Facebook Wall Photos!
Feature Article :The Low Down On Facebook Wall Photos
If you have been baffled by Facebook Page Profile and Wall Photos then you are not alone. If you have ever proudly uploaded your new Facebook Page wall photos just as you would on your profile page only to find that you ended up cutting the heads off your prized photo of you and a major celebrity then this post will help you.
Most people quickly just upload a photo on their Facebook Page and never really think about it’s impact. Now Facebook is not exactly generous with it’s customisation options, this is most definitely not MySpace, but the main profile page really is a place where you can get to stand out from the crowd a little bit and build your brand.
I will cover the Facebook Page Wall Photos dimensions a little further down the page, but Facebook by default resizes all public profile photos down to a maximum width of 200 pixels and a maximum height of 600 pixels.
Now that is a pretty congenial sized area in which you can get creative with your image. You can always check out some other Facebook Pages to get some ideas to make maximum use of the space Facebook has generously provided for you.
The other formidable challenge is to make sure your headshot is still noticeable next to your wall posts. When Facebook shrinks your Facebook Profile Photo to appear next to your texts it uses an area about 52 pixels down from the top so you may have to think about adding a headline then your photo then some text or graphics underneath.
You see how effortless this all is? Lol!
So it may not come as a major surprise to learn that the Facebook Wall photos have their own little curiosities too!
I have to give full credit to the lovely Mari Smith for ending my battle with the Facebook Page Wall Photo Saga that was going on in my life.
Here’s the low down, Facebook shrinks the Facebook Wall Photos to one tenth of the size ( hence the sometimes less than desired results ).
Sso with renewed energy and my favourite Snaggit resizing tool I found the ideal size to make your Facebook Page Wall Photos is …. 970 pixels by 680 pixels.
When you upload them in the normal way you will then have a perfect one tenth of the size photo slap bang in the middle of each of your 5 little photo areas.
But don’t stop there .. remember this is prime Real Estate so add some text to your photos, add a description underneath each one and don’t forget to link back to your blog or a page for more information about your business!
Let me know if this helped! Oh and if you have a few seconds could you head over to our new Facebook Page and hit the like button too!
To your online success!

“For People Who Hate The Idea Of Building A Downline But Love The Idea Of Passive Income Online”
When someone you trust recommends a product then you tend to check it out yourself just to see if it as every bit as good as they say.
To make a steady income as an affiliate marketer you need 1,000’s of people per week to click on your link. (Sorry if that bursts your bubble a bit .. but you are on a need to know basis)
Once again, it all comes back to learning a new skill, and traffic generation is the skill all professional affiliates must learn.
My favorite resource for affiliate marketing and online traffic generation today is Bring The Fresh, which was created by a friend of a colleague of mine Kelly Felix who has made more than $50,000,000 online as a product owner, and an affiliate marketer.
In our opinion, affiliate marketing is great for people who are not really “into” network marketing per say, it suits you if you like to be “behind the scenes” and not depending on others for your passive income.
You don’t need to talk to anyone. You love details, numbers, analysis, and engineering. At the same time, it helps to have a creative streak, or problem solving abilities, which help in ad creation.
